Red Rock is one of my favorite places to visit. It is a beautiful place. Today we went on one of many "practice hikes." I am trying to get prepared for a grand canyon hike in May. The grand canyon hike sounds like it might be equivalent to my century ride. I am not sure though. All I can expect is that it is going to be very difficult. We will be going out to Red Rock over the next few months and do a lot more hiking. This morning while I was getting ready, I had a little incident where my heart started racing and my pulse was around 204 for about 5 minutes before it returned to normal. I decided that a brief hike on a day where my heart decided to freak out would be better.
