Happy Birthday Todd

We just celebrated Todd's 44th birthday. We had lacrosse tournament that day, so we got to spend most of his birthday sitting on the sidelines of a field in freezing 25 mph winds. The weather was ridiculous that day. Ariel got to come home this weekend for her dad's birthday so that made it extra special. Aaron really wanted his sisters to come to his games. They made it to two out of three games, but, they made sure we knew how miserable they were sitting outside. After the games we got Cafe Rio for dinner and then watched a movie together. This was the year of camping gifts for Todd. He got a small tent, a sleeping bag, and a thick foam mat to put under his sleeping bag. He says he has everything he needs now in case I kick him out of the house. Of course that thought never crossed my mind, I was trying to help him be more comfortable on his scout camp outs with Aaron. The poor guy has to go camping about every other month. The night ended perfectly with a big piece of chocolate pie.

Lacrosse

The last few Saturday's we have been at lacrosse tournaments. There were three games each tournament day. This is Aaron's first year playing the game and he loves it. He plays "middie" and that means he is running up and down the field most of the time. His jersey number is lucky #13. My Christmas present this year was a tripod and telephoto lens for my camera. This was the first time I had the chance to try it out. It was pretty amazing how far I could zoom in. I had fun practicing with it and watching Aaron play. When I got home and put the SD card into my computer to download the pictures, I had to laugh that I took 223 pictures that day. I know I went a little overboard. The sport is pretty dangerous, Aaron is covered in bruises. I can't believe how many bruises he has on his body right now. He is a magnet for accidents, but so far no broken bones.
