Lunch in Cedar City

The kids and I headed up to Utah for Spring Break, we were sad Todd had to stay home and work. Ariel asked us to stop by her apartment and she would make us lunch. I was really excited about this because we usually dine at Arby's or Wendy's on our road trips to Utah. She made us delicious Southwestern Egg Rolls and we even got dessert; chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. Meg asked me when Ariel became so "motherly" I thought that was funny. We noticed they were setting up a very small "carnival" on the grounds of her apartment complex. Aaron was especially excited about the giant "blow up" obstacle course he could see from the window. As soon as we ate lunch, we headed outside. Megan and Aaron raced each other on the obstacle course. Even though Aaron won each time, I was proud of Megan for climbing in that thing. Ariel's roommates wanted her to go with them. She refused. I have influenced her too much with my OCD. She said she couldn't go in there, on account of the germs. Ha ha...I said the same thing...only silently, to myself. Aaron also climbed to the top of the rock wall and used the giant sledge hammer to see how strong he was. After a few attempts he got the marker up to the number 8, wow impressive! They wanted me to try. I could barely lift the hammer...I gave it a mighty heave and made it to around three. No, I am not ashamed that my 13 year old son can swing a sledge hammer harder than me. It was a short visit, but so glad we could see Ariel. She will be coming up to join us on Thursday for the rest of the week and the Easter egg hunt.
