FALL...

is my favorite season of the year, it always has been. For many years now, I have missed out on one of my favorite things about fall, the changing leaves. We don't have many changing leaves around my neighborhood, and if they are changing, it's a pretty sad show. I miss the canyons in Utah filled with vibrant colored trees. I love watching the leaves fall and crunching through the piles on the ground. Maybe I wouldn't love that part so much if I had a big yard and tons of leaves to rake up, but I am quite sure, I would love it for awhile. 

I am relieved when the temperatures finally start to cool off. I am a much better cold weather person than I am hot. Though if I could really have my way, I wouldn't want extremes in either direction. I love the anticipation of the approaching holidays and the delicious food. Yes, I am already dreaming of Thanksgiving dinner. Another fall favorite - FOOTBALL! I am a big fan. I love this picture of Ariel and her friends at the football game. Ariel has loved seeing the leaves change this year.

Homecoming week at the high school just ended. The theme was "The Happiest Homecoming on Earth." The student council kids worked really hard on decorations for the walls and all the activities through the week. We have been going to the homecoming parade since 2005. This year, Meg wasn't going to be in it, so she showed me the pictures of the floats on the camera and said we could stay home. I kind of missed not going, maybe we'll go again next year. I thought Megan did a great job on her dress up days, Aaron even dressed up one day.

I love seeing the kids participate in their activities at school, it always brings back good memories of the fun times I had when I was their age. It's hard to believe how fast life moves. I feel so much the same inside as I did when I was in high school, yet 23 years have gone by, and my kids are now where I once was...it doesn't seem possible.
