A few months ago, Ariel, Megan and some of their friends from Vegas bought tickets to see Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings in concert. Ariel thought my mom would enjoy it, so she had bought her a ticket. I was coming last minute, and luckily was able to get a ticket. The girls, my mom, and I ate at our favorite Chinese restaurant before we headed into Kingsbury Hall. We were running a little behind and were nervous about having time to eat at a sit down place. My mom is such a VIP there, she called the owner, gave him our order, and when we showed up at the restaurant, the food was already cooked and waiting for us on the table. That was pretty fancy! The concert was excellent, and we had a great time together. This duo is insanely talented.
