Aaron Turns Twelve

Little boys are treasures
who are worth their weight in gold
and charm everyone around them
from the time they're minutes old.

They're mommy's little darling,
they're a special pal to dad,
and they bring the very happiest days
a family's ever had.

Twelve years ago, my life was changed forever. Aaron Michael Hendrix has been the best son any mother could hope for. He brings me joy and happiness every day. This was an extra special birthday because Aaron was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood. Todd ordained him at my parents home so we could be with family. We celebrated the day before with a BBQ with the Freebairn clan and his best friend Tim that had moved to Park City. Aaron got his birthday present about a month and a half early so no presents on his birthday but an awesome plaque Ariel found for him. He didn't mind not getting to open more presents because he loves his fancy bike and he rode it to school every day for the remainder of the school year. Aaron is enjoying scouts and playing his drums. He had a great birthday, except the part where he had to get in the car and drive all the way back to Vegas. Grandma made him a huge fancy breakfast before he left, she said she had never gone through a whole can of whipped cream that fast...she didn't know Aaron used a half of can on his waffle.
