Homecoming Week

Ariel and Megan are both in Student Council so they were very busy this week with building floats, decorating the school, painting signs, the homecoming parade, etc. etc. etc. Here are a few pictures of the week. The theme was "All You Need is Love"

The highlight of my week is that my sister Jennifer flew in from Bozeman to visit Thursday through Sunday. We had so much fun shopping, eating out every meal we could (and not telling the kids about it), and just laughing a lot. Unfortunately her plane was delayed two hours on Sunday and she had to go home to a giant snow storm. She was a good sport and on Friday went to the homecoming assembly on the football field, the homecoming parade and the homecoming football game.

The football game was a little difficult for both Jen and I. I had promised Aaron weeks ago that I would take him to the game. It was almost half time and Jen and I were growing weary of the high school football scene. Aaron didn't seem to be that interested in the game. After prodding him a little about why he wasn't watching the game and how he didn't seem that interested in it...he confessed that he wanted to come to the game to get a spirit towel and some nachos. Oh!! Well I wish I would have known that a little sooner! I had bought the spirit towel when we walked through the gate...so we just needed the nachos and we were outta there. By the time we made our way to the conscession stand...it was already half time and the line was very long. I said, "Hey...let's go get nachos at 7-11...they have the same kind of nachos there." He said o.k. but as we drove out of the school parking lot past the Dairy Queen he decided that a blizzard would be just as good as nachos.

What did I learn from this experience? If your 10 year old insists on you taking him to a H.S. football game...ask some questions...find out the "whys"... just a thought.

Looks like a fun-filled week! I love the slide-show, by the way!
